Birds are one of my favorite creatures to photograph. I entered the wonderful realm of bird photography due to my obsession with Ornithology as a dedicated Science Olympiad competitor. Here are a couple of my favorite Avian pics!

Went on a 12 mile hike around Alamere Falls near SF and experienced some pretty strong winds which many of the birds were taking advantage of. I looked around a lot, hoping to catch a bird daring to come close to me. These gulls (and the raven) were truly riding the winds and beautifully posed for my camera lens. I love how outstretched their wings are, really showcasing their beautiful physique.
